Main Bus Station or Road- From Ratnagiri, one can also hire private cabs. Mumbai-Ganapatipule (via Mahad) is 375 kms. Pune-Ganapatipule (via Satara) is 331 kms. Kolhapur-Ganapatipule is 144 kms.

For sightseeing in Ganapatipule visit the temple of Swayambhu Ganesh that is 400 years old and is frequently visited by thousands of pilgrims every year who flock to pay obeisance to the Swayambhu Ganpati shrine which is naturally formed and said to have been carved out of one single rock. The deity is considered to be the Paschim Dwardevta (Protector of the West) and those who visit Ganapatipule, normally make it a point to pay their respects at this temple.

Most people come to Ganapatipule to spend time on it's pristine beaches and paddle the clear waters. Here, you can leave the hectic world behind as you laze around on golden sands or explore the many trails that lead from the beach.
Jaigadh Fort built in the 17th century is just 35 kms away from Ganapatipule. Standing tall just above the confluence where the Sangameshwar river meets the Arabian Sea, the fort is precariously perched on a cliff and offers sweeping views of the sea below.
