Dwarka- the capital of the kingdom of Lord Krishna, is one of the frequently visited places for tourists in India. Apart from having a religious connection to it, lot of mythology is interwoven into the royal city of Dwarka. Today, it is not only a major pilgrimage site but a pleasant spot for a beach holiday. From Dwarka proceed to Somnath which means "The Protector of (the) Moon God". The Somnath Temple is known as "the Shrine Eternal", having been destroyed many times by various kings and rulers. Somnath is a city on the west coast of India in the Junagadh distrct in the state of Gujrat. The Somnath Temple located in the Prabhas Kshetra near Veraval is the most sacred of the twelve Jyotirlings (lingas of light) of the God Shiva. It is the first Jyotirling.
On arrival at Ahemdabad Airport / Railway Station, you will be greeted by our Local Representative who will transfer you to Dwarka. Check into the hotel and later attend the evening aarti at Dwarkadhish temple. Overnight stay at Dwarka.
After morning breakfast, visit Bet Dwarka which is situated at 30kms from Dwarka and is surrounded by sea from all sides. This trip is from Okha on the mainland to the temple which is by a local boat. On the way to Bet Dwarka, visit Nageshwar Temple – One of the 12 Jyotirlingam of Shiva, return back to Dwarka. Overnight stay at Dwarka.
Today post breakfast, attend the morning aarti at Dwarkadhish temple and then proceed towards Somnath. One of the most revered & an important center of culture & nationalism. The legendary temple contains a 'jyotirlinga'. Looted & destroyed, built & rebuilt several times, it represents the eternal beauty & strength of the Indian society. Overnight stay at Somnath.
After breakfast proceed to Ahmedabad and check into the hotel. Ahmedabad, founded in the year 1411 AD is located on the banks of river Sabarmati and has been named after Sultan Ahmed Shah, who was primarily responsible for building it. Today, this city is known as the 'Manchester of the East', one of the highly industrialized cities in India and is also India's Textile City. Overnight stay at Ahmedabad.
This morning after breakfast proceed for the local sightseeing of the city. Visit the Gandhi Ashram, Jumma Masjid, Teen Darwaja and the Hutheesingh Jain Temple. Later in the afternoon our Local Representative will transfer you to Ahmedabad Airport / Railway Station for departure according to the flight / train timings after an ever memorable holiday in Gujarat.
