Njp Rly Station/Bagdogra Airport–Darjeeling (75kms/03hrs)

On arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport you will be greeted by our local representative & transferred to Darjeeling (6,950 ft.). On arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway and Japanese Temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Mirik Excursion (49 kms / 2 hrs one way)

After breakfast full day excursion trip to Mirik Lake (4,902 ft.) via Indo-Nepal Border (Extra vehicle charges will be applicable for Nepal Border to Pasupati Market). Mirik is famous for its man-made Sumendu Lake, Cardamom plantations and Tea Estates. (One can do Boating on direct payment basis in lake).In evening return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Darjeeling–Gangtok (100Kms/4Hrs)

After breakfast proceeds to picturesque drive to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Gangtok Local Sightseeing

Start for a Full day city tour covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Enchey Monastery & Banjakhri Falls (maximum 6 hours).Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing.

Gangtok-NJP Rly Station/Bagdogra Airport (Departure) (120Kms/05Hrs)

After breakfast Check-out from hotel on time and take the departure transfers to NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport for your onward journey.

Extra Terms & Conditions Related to Hotel

  • Hot water will be supplied on time basis – morning & evening. (Except for Premium & Luxury categories).
  • Room Heater available with an extra cost borne by you directly. (Except for Premium & Luxury categories).
  • Telephone / land line facilities may not be there in most hotels.
  • Hotels are very strict with the child policy. Please carry the age proof so that it can be produced if asked by hotel.
  • Extra adult in the room will be provided an extra bed (wherever possible), but most of the hotels only provide extra mattress or roll out bed.
  • In Gangtok & Darjeeling almost all the hotel do not have lift facility. Hence, if any guest is having problem of blood pressure, knee or other ailment for which they cannot climb the higher floors they will have to intimate us during the time of booking so that we can arrange rooms at the lowest floor of the hotel enabling the guest to climb the minimum number of stairs possible.
  • As per Govt norm Guests are required to present your photo ID Proof such as PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID or Driving License at the time of Check in at the hotel.
  • If hotel mentioned is sold out or on wait listed status, then we will go for similar category of hotels in same city. However, we will try to the best of our ability to confirm the 1st best preferred hotel.

Extra Terms & Conditions Related to Transport, Vehicles & Sightseeing

  • If you arrive by train at NJP Railway Station, our local representative  will be there to receive you at the New Exit Gate (Near Escalator)
  • If your arrival is by flight at Bagdogra Airport, our local  representative  will be there holding a Placard at Exit Gate on the Airport.
  • Permit required for Tsomgo Lake. It is mandatory that you carry 02 copies of passport size photograph, original photo ID proof with photo copy (identity card – Voter ID card / Pass-port / Driving License / Aadhaar Card etc) for processing the permit. PAN Card is not acceptable for issuance of the Permit.
  • In case you want any changes in the sightseeing schedule, we request you to inform our local representative about it the previous day before 16:00 hrs, as after that if you make changes in the sightseeing schedule, it will be considered as a cancellation with no refund or you will have to pay extra cost for rescheduling the sightseeing.
  • In Gangtok outside vehicle are not allowed to enter in the city.
  • Only local taxi can roam around within Gangtok city.
  • All outside vehicle will give pick up & drop from Deorali taxi stand.
  • Local taxi for pick up & drop will be provided from hotel to taxi stand. For this reason you will have to wait for sometime in the taxi stand.
  • In case of excess baggage you will have to opt for an extra vehicle to accommodate your excess baggage and you will have to bare the extra expense of an extra vehicle. Hence we request you to travel with minimum baggage i.e. one baggage per person so that you can comfortably accommodate yourself and your baggage through the entire journey.
  • Gangtok city tour is done only by Maruti van / Indica / Wagon R (4 people in a car).
  • 01 Non a/c Indica / Wagon R / Sumo / Max in all categories for 02-08 pax including child.
  • In case the number of heads increases, than the guest will have to take another vehicle with an additional cost.

Gangtok -  Gangtok is a bustling, friendly hill station, and the capital of the Himalayan state of Sikkim. It is an organised and beautifully maintained city. Gangtok is known as the Switzerland of the east.

Darjeeling  -  Nestled among the rolling mountains with the glistening Mt Kanchenjunga towering over the azure sky, Darjeeling is fondly called "Queen of the Hills".Darjeeling is famous for its beautiful tea gardens, waterfalls,rhododendrons and the cute Himalayan toy train negotiating its way through the mountains.

Shopping And Entertainment

No holiday is complete without taking back souvenirs and there is plenty you can take back from Sikkim apart from memories of a great holiday! Shopping can be a real wholesome experience for the tourists visiting Sikkim.


Gangtok- The capital is a major shopping hub in this state. Shopping in Gangtok is all about buying masks, footwear, carpets, handicrafts and other trinkets in the souvenir shops strewn along Mahatma Gandhi Marg. The main shopping areas in Gangtok are the Old market, New market and Lal market. Also look out for the traditional items like thangkas or religious scrolls and choktsees or collapsible wooden tables with intricate local Tibetan designs.


Darjeeling- Is another important hub for shopaholics. The well-known shopping places in Darjeeling are at Chowrasta. The shops here sell ethnic knick-knacks. The Hayden Hall is another place where you can look for the exclusive Tibetan carpets. Shop at Manjusha Emporium which has a good collection of Himalayan handicraft, silk and handloom products. The woolen garments can be bought from the markets on Hill Cart road. The Darjeeling tea with its exotic taste and aroma is without a doubt a must bring back home.

Money- The currency of India is Indian Rupees (INR). The currency exchange departments are present in almost every Indian city. You can also exchange your currency in 5 star and 4 star hotels, no other currency is valid except for Indian currency (INR).


Best time to Visit- The weather in Sikkim is pleasing during the months of March and June when the flowers are in bloom, or between October and mid-December when clear views of the Himalayan peaks are guaranteed. July to September brings monsoon showers and occasionally heavy rains.


Travel Kit- Except for special occasions, dress is informal. Carry a warm sweater or jacket for mornings and evenings throughout winter and early springs. An umbrella offers the best protection from monsoon rains. In the winter an anorak is often quite useful to wear over a fleece or woolen layer.


Drugs- Heavy penalties including imprisonment for possession of narcotic drugs.
Temple Codes- The Sikkim culture is quite conservative. At the monasteries, women should avoid wearing shorts and skimpy tops; likewise, men should wear trousers and shirts at monasteries.


Smoking- Smoking is banned in public places.


Sikkim Festivals- The fairs and festivals in Sikkim are celebrated according to Buddhist calendar. During these festivals the people of Sikkim perform colorful dance and music. Religious festivals in Sikkim are famous for "mask dances" performed by lamas (monks) in the gompa (temple).Costumed lamas wearing gaily-painted masks, ceremonial swords and sparkling jewels leap and swing to the sound of resounding drums, trumpeting horns and religious chanting. Saga Dawa is a very auspicious day for the Mahayana Buddhists. On this day people go to monasteries to offer butter lamps and worship. Phang Lhabsol is a festival unique to Sikkim. It is celebrated to offer thanks to Mount Kanchendzonga, the guardian deity of Sikkim and to Yabdu, the supreme commander. Dasain the biggest and most important festival of the Hindu-Nepali population is celebrated in September - October. It symbolizes the victory of good over evil. Tyohar (Deepavali) the festival of lights is celebrated 10 days after Dasain.
