Day 2
Srinagar Local Sightseeing – Mughal Gardens & More

After breakfast, begin your exploration with a visit to Chashme Shahi (Royal Spring), a charming terraced garden built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632. Nestled at the foothills of the Zabarwan Mountains, this garden is centered around a natural spring believed to have medicinal properties. Its Persian-style pavilions, cascading fountains, and lush greenery create a serene start to the day.

Next, head to Nishat Bagh, the "Garden of Pleasure," designed in 1633 AD by Asaf Khan, the brother of Mughal Empress Nur Jahan. This grand seven-tiered garden overlooks the shimmering Dal Lake, with a central water channel flowing through vibrant flowerbeds and graceful Chinar trees, offering a spectacular blend of nature and Mughal artistry.

Continue to Shalimar Bagh, also known as the "Abode of Love," built by Emperor Jehangir for his wife, Nur Jahan. This beautifully landscaped garden is adorned with cascading fountains, terraced lawns, and centuries-old Chinar trees, making it a masterpiece of Mughal elegance and romance.

As the day winds down, take a leisurely stroll along Boulevard Road, running alongside Dal Lake. Watch the sky turn golden as the sun sets over the tranquil waters, creating a picture-perfect moment.

Finally, conclude your day with a visit to the Shankaracharya Temple, an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Perched atop Shankaracharya Hill, this 9th-century temple offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Srinagar, with the city and Dal Lake unfolding beneath you. As evening descends, the temple’s peaceful ambiance provides a serene end to the day.
