By Air

Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport (SXR), Srinagar, is well connected with all major Airports via Direct and Indirect flights. All airlines in India have their services in Srinagar city.

By Rail

The nearest railhead is Jammu from where Srinagar City is a comfortable and scenic 5 - 7 hrs drive (265 km). The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway is under development and will provide direct train connectivity to Srinagar soon.

By Road

Srinagar is well connected by road from rest of India via NH 44 highway which is approximately 5 -7 hrs (265 kms) from Jammu and 18 to 20 hrs from Delhi.

Arrival in Srinagar (12 km / approx. 30 mins from Airport)

Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local representative, who will escort you to your hotel or houseboat. Check in and unwind in the comfort of your room. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Later, embark on a serene Shikara ride on the iconic Dal Lake, visiting the Floating Gardens and Vegetable Gardens. Glide past traditional houseboats, lotus plantations, and floating markets, soaking in the serene beauty of Kashmir. Return to your accommodation late in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar (80 km / approx. 2.5 to 3 hours one way)

Post an early breakfast, set out on a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, the "Meadow of Gold." Nestled in the Sindh Valley, Sonamarg is an untouched paradise with vibrant meadows, towering mountains, and crystal-clear streams. Situated at 2,690 meters above sea level, it offers a stunning backdrop of snow-capped Himalayan peaks against a clear blue sky.

Sonamarg is the last stop on the Kashmir side of the Srinagar-Leh highway and serves as the base for numerous high-altitude treks, including those leading to Himalayan lakes like Vishansar, Krishansar, and Gangbal. The valley is surrounded by lush sycamore, silver birch, fir, and pine trees, adding to its alpine charm.

Srinagar – Gulmarg (50 km / approx. 1.5 hrs)

After an early breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers), a world-renowned hill station known for its breathtaking beauty, adventure activities, and historical significance. Discovered as a tourist destination by the British in the 19th century, Gulmarg was a favorite retreat for Mughal emperors as well. It is situated at an altitude of 2,730 meters above sea level in the Pir Panjal range, offering panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and lush green meadows.

Gulmarg is home to one of the world’s highest green golf courses, an 18-hole golf course, which was established during the British era. The Gulmarg Golf Club, housed in a charming wooden clubhouse, is a historical attraction in itself. One of the top attractions in Gulmarg is the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world, offering a two-phase ride that takes visitors to Kongdori (Phase 1) and Apharwat Peak (Phase 2). The Gondola Ride (Phase 1 & Phase 2) is available on a direct payment basis, and pre-booking online is highly recommended to avoid long queues.

From Gulmarg, a pony track leads upwards to Khilanmarg, Kangdori, and Seven Springs, offering stunning views of the valley. These locations can be accessed on foot or by hiring a pony (optional, direct payment basis).

Gulmarg – Pahalgam (100 km / approx. 5 hrs)

Post breakfast, check out and drive to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds), a breathtaking destination nestled along the Lidder River. En route, visit the saffron fields of Pampore, where you can see vast stretches of purple saffron flowers and meet local farmers selling pure Kashmiri saffron. Continue your journey through scenic countryside, passing lush rice fields and quaint villages, before stopping at the Awantipura temple, an ancient 9th-century Vishnu temple built by King Avantivarman. The site is a fascinating glimpse into Kashmir’s rich architectural heritage.

Make a stop at a traditional Kashmiri bat factory, where you can witness the craftsmanship behind the world-famous Willow cricket bats. See how skilled artisans carefully shape and polish these bats, which are widely used by professional cricketers. You may also purchase an authentic bat as a unique souvenir.

Next you will pass through the famous apple valley, where the road is lined up with apple orchards on both sides. During apple harvest season (late August to October) you may also get to visit and harvest apples and indulge in getting pictures clicked in the apple orchards.

Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, explore the region’s stunning landscapes, either by visiting Aru, Betaab valley and Chandanwari (starting point of Amarnath Yatra) via local union cab (direct payment basis), or you can indulge in pony ride (direct payment basis) to Baisaran Valley, often called Mini Switzerland for its rolling meadows and pine-covered hills.

For adventure seekers, Pahalgam offers exciting activities such as river rafting on the Lidder River, with rapids ranging from Grade I to Grade III, suitable for beginners and thrill-seekers alike. Guest can indulge in white water rafting on their way back to Srinagar.

Srinagar Local Sightseeing

Post breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of Srinagar’s most famous attractions. Visit Shankaracharya Temple, the Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh (Garden of Bliss), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), and Chashme Shahi (Royal Spring), and the Tulip Garden (seasonal – open from April 1st to April 30th, subject to bloom conditions). The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is the largest in Asia, located at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, overlooking Dal Lake. This vibrant garden features millions of tulips in full bloom, creating a mesmerizing floral spectacle. If visiting during bloom season, it is recommended to visit early in the day to avoid large crowds.

Later in the day, explore Lal Chowk, Polo View Market, and Zaina Kadal, the best places for shopping authentic Kashmiri handicrafts, Pashmina shawls, carpets, dry fruits, and papier-mâché souvenirs.

Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations received upto 30 days prior to arrival will be fully refundable
  • Cancellation received between 30 days and 15days will be subjected to 10% of tour cost
  • Between 15 - 10 days of departure: 35% of tour cost will be deducted.
  • Less than 10 days or No Show will be subjected to 100% amount.
  • Any Cancellation which is result of Natural or Political problem will be refundable, subjected to local suppliers approval.

  • Hotel Check-in & Check-out Policy: Check-in is between 12:00 PM & 3:00 PM, and check-out is between 10:00 AM & 12:00 PM (timings may vary by hotel).

Holidaymine and its representatives shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, acts of God, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, civil disturbances, terrorist activities, or flight cancellations. In the event of such occurrences, any additional costs incurred will be borne by the client, and refunds (if applicable) will be subject to the policies of respective service providers, including hotels, airlines, and local transport operators.
