Auli

Introduction:

Auli is an important ski destination in the Himalayan mountains of Uttarakhand. Auli is also known as a 'bugyal' in the regional language which means meadow. It is consider that Auli is one of the best ski resorts in the world. In Auli roads remain covered with snow during the season. Auli is nestled in the lap of snow-capped peaks of Garhwal Himalayas, in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, near the world famous religious shrine of Badrinath. There are few good resorts available in Auli and on a way to Auli.

Saildhar Tapovan:
Is the hot water fountains where the water is almost at a boiling point. 

Kwanri Bugyal :
It is a very interesting place for trekkers. Its at 3350 mts above sea-level.

Vanshinarayan Kalpeshwar:
It is a beautiful valley, and there is a cave known as Kalpeshwar. Further down the valley there is a destination called Vanshinarayan which is unmatched in its beauty.

Bhavishya Badri : 
Its known for its midst of a dense deodar forest.

Joshimath :
Its has many temples and memorials. It is a gateway to Badrinath and the Valley of Flowers.

Getting around the destination:
By bus or private vehicles. Taxi and Cable cars are also available.

Shopping Areas & Entertainment:
As Auli is a sking city. There are no shopping attractions place found.

Best time to visit:
Tourist can visit Auli (mid february to mid March)

Festivals:
Auli plays host to the National Winter Games in the months of February and March.
