Introduction:

Pelling is a town in the district of West Sikkim , India. The town of Pelling is famous for it's magnificent views of the snow-capped mountains of Kanchenjunga and its ranges. It's famous for it's rich history, natural environment and local culture. Pelling is 115 km from the state capital Gangtok and about 135 km from Siliguri, the nearest railhead and airport. Pelling is famous for the majestic view of the magnificent Mount Kanchenjunga. It also affords a panoramic view of other snow-capped Himalayan peaks.

Pemayangtse Monastery:
Is a Buddhist monastery, Known as one of the oldest monasteries of Sikkim, it was built by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in the 17th century. Located at a hill top of the Western district of Sikkim, the Pemayangtse Monastery is at the beginning of famous trek route of Dzongri. The monastery houses much famous collection of ancient antiques, Buddhist idols, scriptures and sculptures. First floor of the monastery has a beautiful wooden sculpture of Sanghthokpalr.

Kaluk:
Kaluk is another famous district of Sikkim. This area is also known for its infinite natural resources and is also considered as a haven for nature lovers. The district is surrounded by small villages consisting of the Lepcha tribe.

Khecheopalri Lake:
Located in the north-west direction of Pelling town. This lake is known by many names like the Wishing Lake, Kha-Chot-Palri, and Sho Dzo Sho, which means Oh Lady, Sit Here. Considered holy by Buddhists as well as Hindus, this lake is thronged by devotees from around the world. When seen from an elevated point, this lake looks like the footmark of Lord Shiva.

Sewaro Rock Garden:
The Garden is constructed and maintained by Sikkim's tourism department. Mainly constituting rocks, gardens, pools, zig-zag footpaths, and various recreational amenities like swimming pools, viewpoints, and cafeterias. Considered as one of the most popular picnic spots it is visited by people from various communities and schools every day.

Rimbi Waterfalls:
Are approximately 12 km away from Pelling and further about 5 km from the Darap Village. They are situated along the banks of the Rimbi River. These waterfalls lead into the Rimbi River, famous for activities like fishing.

Dzongri:
It is amongst the famous Himalayan treks in Sikkim. It is the meeting point of several trails. The most prominent route is the one that leads to Goecha La via Zemanthang and Samiti Lake. The trek distance from Yuksam is approximately 26 km, which takes about 2 days to reach. Dzongri is at a height of 4500 m above sea level and presents close-up panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Indian citizens can register at the local police station at Yuksam with valid photo identity. Foreign nationals can obtain the permits at tourism offices in Gangtok or the Sikkim House in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

Kanchenjunga Falls:
Situated at a distance of 25 km from Pelling, the Kanchenjunga Falls is a perennial waterfall and takes about an hour to reach. There are small steps that lead to the base of the waterfall.
