It is located in a 10-acre hillside filled with organic plantation and gigantic trees, adjacent to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, in Thekkady, and is the best place from where you can get a glimpse of the variety of wild animals wandering in their natural habitat. Accessible only by an uphill trek for the last kilometer, guests are taken in a vehicle till the base camp. From the base camp, you need to trek uphill for a kilometer to reach the drawbridge which takes you to the Tree House base. Every evening this drawbridge is folded back and then you are safe there.
